Cup of Tea

I woke up about midday
You were hanging round, didn't know what to say
But you knew you were leaving, going at three
Told me you'd made me a cup of tea

You've moved on, doing things differently
I've not changed, still drinking my cup of tea

So I ate my toast and we talked it over
I drank my tea and felt more sober
We couldn't work it out so you left before three
Before I could offer you a cup of tea

You've moved on, doing things differently
I've not changed, still drinking my cup of tea

And now making tea just ain't the same
I still find myself calling your name
Telling you that our teas ready
For you to say you wanted coffee

Life's moved on, things move differently
A lot has changed, I don't even drink tea
